when you start in the world of photography, and you like it, the first thing that you dream about is a medium format camera. so there it is! my first medium format camera! a yashica mat lm working perfectly (including the light meeter)! the first picture i took with my cel phone, all the others are from the camera!
your last image is amazing!
thanks!
fantastic. i just got a yashica mat myself, my first medium format camera (well, i have a holga and diana too) mine works great except the meter, which seems off.. but i rarely use built in meters on vintage stuff, i find an external one is more accurate.. u’ve taken some lovely pictures. my first roll was a bit of a mess (i think i messed up the developing) cant wait to try it again
thanks! mine works so well that i’m using it to take another roll. this one is a fuji 400. 6×6 is a new world for me but i am enjoying it a lot! i have to find a good external light meeter, i usually use my olympus to set the light. your gallery is great!
cheers
ive got another roll loaded in my yashica too
looking forward to using it n seeing the results. the lens is super sharp, isnt it
mine is a 1958 well used and it’s still looking and working good! the lens is super sharp! very different than 35mm lens. and they are super easy to use!
ooh thats a true vintage then. mine’s a much ‘newer’ one …yashica mat 124G – probably not as good as the one ur using…the older ones always seem better! but its a pretty nice rolleiflex clone n i love it!
nice camera you have! now i’m trying to find a macro lens for my yashica. here in brazil is hard to find one of those.
oh urs is an interchangeable lens TLR? mine is fixed lens. yeah, its pretty hard to find over here too (im currently living in vietnam for a few years) – there’s a good vintage camera market here, but u gotta get lucky….i got a great condition nikon fm2n here…but for older stuff, i find ebay the best
mine is not, but i found a lens called no1 and no2 that you put in this yashica lenses. it’s like filters, one is macro and the other is 2x. 35mm i use olympus cameras, one OM1-n and one OM 2000.
ah i know what u mean…something like an extension tube? maybe it’ll fit my yashica 124g too.
olympus SLRs are great, i love the OM series.. the new OM-D looks pretty awesome too.. people are realizing that the vintage designs are the best!
on second thought, i think wat u mean is a close-up filter, not an extension tube, am i right?
yeah, it’s more like a close up filter, ands fits at any yashica! there a some rollei filters/ lens that fits too! you said that you are living in vietnam? cool!
